Food for Thought

And we have lift off!  This is one giant step for a rural girl and one small view into my neck of the woods.  Unfortunately I am sitting in a classroom typing at a keyboard while a beautiful day goes by, but it is worth it because it really is a small world after all and I would like to know what people think about the "rural life" and what "farming" entails.
My most unusual farming experience was planting chrysanthemums, over 4,000 field grown mums.  This was made more fun by several children ages ten to three "helping out".  Roots go into the ground and the green leaves go above the dirt.  The "family" (friends, neighbors and the occasional stranger) that spends time in the dirt have more interesting stories to tell.  Do tell ...
